answering the call

ANSWERING THE CALL is a reflection, held up in front of its people like a mirror, asking them to see themselves through a lens of collective endurance. A reminder of what we are capable of when coming together in the face of live-streamed genocide, widespread political violence, climate emergency, societal collapse and the complete failure of our current political system.

From campaigning and fundraising to taking direct action, from the criminalisation of our movements to public reception and the reaction of the far-right, ANSWERING THE CALL is a walk through the past three years of protests and mobilisations in Scotland. In thirty photographs, the exhibition is also an invitation to think of what comes next. What happens when people collectively start to imagine a better world is possible?
